Biography

My current academic and practice interests are centered on the use of language in rural healthcare: developing communication and practice strategies which build trust surrounding unpopular and/or sensitive topics. I am particularly interested in the use of verbal and body language in conversations surrounding vaccine hesitancy, focusing on interdisciplinary techniques to open up conversations about fear and mistrust.
