Biography
Special interest in providing evidence-based interventions to patients facing serious illnesses. A student and patient-centric educator with an extensive clinical practice background. I bring a wide-range of multifaceted frontline and nursing leadership experiences to engage nursing students. Passionate about integrating didactic learning and theory into clinical practice. Over 15 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, hospice and palliative care experience, and clinical practice consultant/leadership experience. Research and Academic Interests:Chronic Illness Management and Education, Palliative Care and End-of-Life Care, Social Determinants of Health and Health Equity, Healthcare for Underserved Populations, Health Literacy, Advocacy in Healthcare, & Medical-Surgical Nursing Care
